Our Approach

Rich Smith is company owner, who has been in the construction industry for over 25 years with experience in road building, site development and much more. He is an expert in grading, drainage as well as paving.

Duke Smith is our Operations Manager, and has been in the construction industry for over 15 years. He oversees the projects, coordinating equipment maintenance, estimates, and ensures projects are completed on-time and within budget.

Although our spring weather has been sketchy at best, the work was completed at the most opportune times and even earlier than we had hoped. We appreciated your listening to our concerns about the weather and your assurances that the time was perfect. Indeed it was and the result is a beautiful new asphalted driveway that we are proud of and are enjoying very much.

I am absolutely over the moon with the end product. You did a far better job than I expected. I love the nice, wide entry into my property. I also thought there would be a couple of small bumps, but wrong, totally smooth. ... when we first met, you asked if I had any problems. I believe I told you "no". You then pointed out where the water collects by my garage. WOW! Good eye! It has rained since the completion of the paving of my driveway, and for the first time in 18 years, the water drained away from the garage.

Thank you for connecting me to Rich this afternoon so that I could chat with him about how happy Tom and I are with our driveway paving project.

I have to confess I was like a hawk watching everything going on because I was just so excited and impressed. I felt sorry for the guys because I actually took a chair outside and watched their every move.😉 No pressure there, right? It was just that I really enjoyed watching their process.

Tom and I would like to share a few of our thoughts with all of you about our experience working directly with Alex, Joel and Tanner.

First, we would like to mention Alex (Project Foreman) and his ability to read our minds on how we wanted the driveway graded. We didn't know what to expect or even what really could be done. But, he went to work and basically leveled and created a driveway that was just perfect. It was exactly what we wanted and were hoping for. Alex was very patient, even tempered, has a great eye for the grading process, listened to us and answered all questions with professionalism. We really enjoyed working with him.

Alex, Joel and Tanner were an exceptional team to work with: very knowledgeable, experienced, thorough, smart, professional, wonderful work ethic, and very kind and respectful. They seemed to really care about their work and I was so glad to see that because their work was precise, well done, and just what we wanted. They were an amazing team and seemed to just know what the other needed to get the job done--sometimes without even speaking.

Alex, Joel and Tanner were also very efficient with their time and efforts. If one was operating equipment, the others were always working at something else--no standing around or wasting time. They are very hard workers and their results proved that--a gorgeous driveway that we are beyond happy with.

Thank you Alex, Joel and Tanner; we just can't say enough good about you--you made a dream come true for us and we appreciate you for that! 😊
